Since then, he was dealt to the Winnipeg Jets for Patrik Laine. From there he was moved to the Los Angeles Kings and signed a massive eight-year deal worth $68 million. Sadly, after just one season, he was traded yet again to the Washington Capitals.

Although this is his fourth team in nine years, he seems to have found a nice home in Washington.

Through 27 games, he has four goals and 15 assists for 19 points. It seems that since the Capitals, he knew his role and fit the team structure.

In seven games against the Blue Jackets, he has three goals and two assists for five points.
