Doug Ford gets booed pretty hard at Raptors parade

If Doug Ford needed a reminder about his incredibly low approval rating, he sure got it at the Toronto Raptors championship parade.

The Ontario premier was among the near two-million people at Monday afternoon’s parade to celebrate the Raptors’ first NBA title in franchise history. And while his current political title certainly permits him a seat on stage for the big rally, his presence on this celebratory day wasn’t exactly appreciated.

On a day full of excitement and cheer, the controversial premier was booed pretty hard when he was introduced to the crowd.

And that wasn’t even the only cold shoulder that Premier Ford received on Monday. During the parade, an anxious Ford attempted to congratulate Masai Ujiri but the Raptors president wasn’t really having any of it.

This day likely didn’t go as Ford would have liked, but after today’s cold reception, he’s probably less likely to forget about those dismal approval ratings.
