Best dressed couple alert! Rita Ora and Taika Waititi were already contenders after their appearance at this year's Met Gala, but since being revealed as Vogue Australia's latest cover stars we reckon they've got the title in the bag.
Ahead of the June issue's release in a few days' time (the 5th of June to be precise), the magazine has released pictures from their intimate photoshoot, and when we say they are red hot we mean it. Opening up about their relationship and married life – the pair confirmed they officially tied the knot last summer – we don't know what we're more obsessed with, the way Taika is looking at Rita in the pics or Rita's entire wardrobe.
Let's start with the cover look. Shared on the publication's Instagram, Taika can be seen sitting against stone steps with his wife reclining onto him. Both wearing Fendi, Rita is serving mermaidcore in her nude sequin dress featuring chiffon trim and eyelet detailing down the front seams.
With the sequins catching the light and looking like scales, her hair is slicked back in a wet look that adds to the mermaid aesthetic. Her only accessories are Tiffany & Co rings.
But we're only just getting started. Photographer Robbie Fimmano went on to share further shots and temperatures definitely increased a degree or two. Casually perched on a red sports car (that is the extent of our motor knowledge, all we can say is it looks pretty flashy), Taika wears a green fluffy jumper, only the arm of which is visible as Rita has – somehow gracefully – draped herself down his entire front.
Though it is the ideal pose to show off her jaw-dropping red fishnet dress. The 'fit is her latest see-through look in as many days (our count has her last rocking a sheer dress just *two* days ago). With crochet detailing over the bust, the long-sleeved maxi is otherwise completely see-through, showing off the high-waisted lime green knickers Rita has on underneath.
We're starting a petition for this third image from the shoot to be added to the dictionary under the definition of 'smoulder'. Seriously, just *look* at Taika's face as he gazes at Rita. He's wearing an unbuttoned white shirt with the sleeves rolled up and we'll say it, he looks hot.
Rita, meanwhile, is matching that energy in a polka dot sequined one-shoulder crop top and micro mini skirt co-ord which we would really like to borrow this weekend.
Talk about couple goals. We didn't think we could be any more obsessed with Rita and Taika, but this shoot has proved otherwise.
