Donald Trump didn't seem impressed by the quality of the Army-Navy football game (Video)

President-elect Donald Trump took some time out of his busy schedule to attend Saturday’s Army-Navy game in Baltimore. And as the second half began, Trump joined Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson in the broadcast booth.

Trump said he went to the game because of his love and the spirit of the armed forces. He didn’t really seem impressed by the quality of play on the field, however.

“I just love the armed forces. Their spirit is so incredible. I don’t know if it’s necessarily the best football, but boy do they have spirit more than anybody. It’s beautiful,” Trump said.

To be fair, there were a combined seven turnovers in the game, so Trump, who was very complimentary otherwise, had a point.

Danielson went on to suggest the retiring Lundquist as Trump’s Ambassador to Sweden, provided Lundquist is available to cover the Masters. Trump seemed enthused by the idea.
