DeMarcus Ware credits Broncos fans for getting his Super Bowl ring back

Denver Broncos fans had DeMarcus Ware’s back.

When news broke that Ware’s Super Bowl 50 ring was stolen as the Broncos played on “Monday Night Football” against the Houston Texans, Broncos fans went to work, spreading around pictures of the thieves on social media and calling in tips to police. By Wednesday, Ware’s ring was back.

“I tell you what, when you mess with one of the Broncos Country’s own, they spread it out everywhere,” Ware said, according to the team’s transcripts.

After seeing how Broncos fans went all out to help Ware get his ring back, don’t discount the police tracking down his pillowcase.

Billy McCaslin, 40, and Sergio Irreza, 31, were arrested on suspicion of burglary in the case, according to the Denver Post. Hidden cameras captured their images during the robbery.

“It sounds like we received a number of Crime Stopper tips which we believe ultimately led to them being identified and captured,” police spokesman John White told the Denver Post.

It’s an impressive show of support from Broncos fans, and Ware seemed genuinely impressed and appreciative for their help.

“Not only was the ‘12th Man’ out there when we’re playing on the field, when we’re off the field, they did their job, what they needed to do and get everything out there,” Ware said.

Broncos fans were thrilled last February when the team brought home the franchise’s first Super Bowl in 17 years. When they had the chance to show their appreciation and help Ware get his ring back, they did so in full force.
