DeAngelo Hall bullish on possibility of Redskins adding DeSean Jackson

Cut by the Philadelphia Eagles, wide receiver DeSean Jackson could land in Washington with the Redskins.

Jackson is set to visit the Redskins on Monday.

And Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall told CSN Washington that Jackson would be ideal for the Redskins.

"If we could add a piece like that he's a threat whenever the ball is in [his] hands," Hall said.

Although the Eagles cut Jackson after off-field concerns surfaced, Hall expressed confidence that Jackson wouldn't be a distraction.

"I feel like our locker room has a good group of young guys, a good group of old guys, man," Hall said. "Some of the things [Jackson] has been going through lately, that's life. That's life. We've all been through something, so if he's able to come here, man, I'm going to take him under my wing and just try to put him on the right path."

Hall released a statement after being released denying that he's in a gang or associates with gang members, which was alleged by NJ.com.

"I would like to address the misleading and unfounded reports that my release has anything to do with any affiliation that has been speculated surrounding the company I keep off of the field," Jackson said. "I would like to make it very clear that I am not and never have been part of any gang. I am not a gang member, and to speculate and assume that I am involved in such activity off the field is reckless and irresponsible."
