Former late night talk show host David Letterman was spotted at Game 1 of the Capitals-Penguins series on Thursday, and he just might have had the best playoff beard in the building.

A noted Caps fan, the ‘King of Late Night’ is clearly enjoying retirement while simultaneously getting in the playoff spirit, as his burly and untamed batch of flowing white facial hair would suggest. The former host of Late Night and The Late Show made the evening airwaves his home for 33 years before retiring in May of 2015.

Letterman hosted over a combined 6,000 episodes of Late Night and Late Show, surpassing Johnny Carson as the longest-serving late night talk show host in American television history.

Clearly, the camera still knows where to find him, no matter the size of beard he’s trying to hide behind.

Retirement looks fun.
