The romance between Aaron Rodgers and Danica Patrick seems to be going well.
Patrick, 36, taped an appearance on the Rachael Ray show and said the Green Bay Packers quarterback is “really good at football.” We can all probably agree with that.
“He’s funny, he’s very kind, he’s thoughtful, he’s super smart. And he’s really good at football,” Patrick said on the show, which airs April 30. “And he’s tall and he’s big and I like that.”
Rodgers was in attendance at February’s Daytona 500, the final NASCAR race of Patrick’s career. Patrick revealed she was dating Rodgers in January, not long after it was confirmed that she was no longer dating NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Patrick and Stenhouse had dated for five years.
Rodgers is, uh, quite larger in stature than Stenhouse.
As Patrick hasn’t been competing on a weekly basis in NASCAR, she and Rodgers have done some traveling.
“We just went on a trip around the world, literally,” Patrick said. “We met the Dalai Lama, we did a mission trip for giving hearing aids to people in Africa. And there were some seriously funny people on this trip. There’s one guy that I look at and his face makes me laugh. So for a week straight, I just laughed — I think I have a six-pack from it.”
Patrick’s racing career will officially end in May after she competes in the Indianapolis 500. She got her major American auto racing start in the IndyCar Series and the 500 will be her first IndyCar race since she left the series for a full-time adventure in NASCAR in 2012.
The Indianapolis 500 has traditionally been Patrick’s best race. She’s finished in the top 10 in six of her seven starts at the famous oval and her third-place finish in 2009 is the best finish for a woman in the history of the race.
