Noah Young, the dancing 8-year-old goalie from Brampton, Ontario, went viral this week.

The mini netminder is all the rage of late after video of his on-ice performance to the Zay Hilfigerrr and Zayion McCall song “Juju On That Beat” blew up. Dressed in full goalie gear, Young took advantage of a stoppage in play during his team’s final playoff game of the season. His skills were even noticed by Adam Henrique and Keith Kinkaid of the New Jersey Devils.

The notoriety led to Young being invited to Brampton Beast practice this week. In his new role as the team’s ‘movement coach’ he showed off his moves to goaltenders Andrew D’Agostini and Zach Fucale.

“You see in Noah’s dancing that he’s fast, smooth and efficient with his movements. I’d be crazy not to have him share some knowledge with our goalies,” said Beast head coach Colin Chaulk.

Noah, who plays for Brampton 45’s Novice AAA team, has been doing this type of thing on the ice for years, his mom Paige Roswell told the Toronto Star this week. He only began taking hip-hop dancing lessons last year. Apparently, he’s a quick learner.

But as Noah found out, sometimes fame doesn’t open every door.

“He just thought he could maybe stay up past bedtime and have a chocolate bar late and I was like, ‘No, sorry, you can’t,’” Roswell said.
