Happy Fourth, you guys. Here’s hoping you have a safe, fun and profitable holiday. Maybe let Seth Smith handle the fireworks this year. (He’s on a crazy tear, if you hadn’t noticed.) The MLB schedule gets rolling at 11:05 AM ET on Monday, so lock in your lineups early. If you’re looking for recommended starters, here’s the best $200 lineup I can build…

P Carlos Martinez, STL, $45 (vs. Mil) – He’s allowed two runs in his last 28.1 innings. TWO.

P Jerad Eickhoff, Phi, $41 (vs. Atl) – Atlanta is still last in MLB in run-scoring (280), last in homers by a mile (43), and No. 28 in team OBP (.302). Eickhoff should roll.

C Willson Contreras, CHC, $15 (C. Reed) – I gotta think a price correction is coming soon on Contreras, because he’s been ridiculous (.294/.390/.588). The Cubs have already seen Reed once, and they hammered him (4.0 IP 9 H, 7 ER).

1B Adrian Gonzalez, LAD, $9 (Y. Gallardo) – Gonzalez is hitting well over the past week (9-for-19, HR), and he’s seen plenty of Gallardo over the years. This price seems like a gift.

2B Ben Zobrist, CHC, $13 (C. Reed) – He’s in a modest slump at the plate, yet he’s still reached base 10 times in his last 26 plate appearances. And again, it’s merely Reed on the mound.

3B Josh Donaldson, Tor, $27 (E. Volquez) – You don’t need an explanation for this one, right? Let’s hope not.

SS Jhonny Peralta, STL, $9 (J. Niese) – This decision is really more about Niese and his 1.53 WHIP than anything else. But for the record, Peralta is 6-for-17 lifetime against Niese, with just one K.

OF George Springer, Hou, $18 (W. Miley) – Here’s another name that should not require a blurb. Springer has been a run-scoring, power-hitting machine, and Miley is Miley.

OF Brett Gardner, NYY, $12 (J. Shields) – Perhaps Shields has figured a few things out in recent starts, but he’s been so, so hittable throughout the year (1.68 WHIP). This matchup vs. Sabathia feels like it could produce an all-you-can-eat hitting buffet.

OF Seth Smith, Sea, $10 (L. McCullers) – Seriously, Smith is just raking lately, going 10 for his last 21 with four homers and 11 RBIs. He gets a right-hander on Monday. This feels like guaranteed points, at a dirt-cheap price.
