Marlins Fernandez and Ozuna could prove to be big fish for Thursday’s DFS slate

My full lineup (for all games starting after 4 pm PT):

SP: Jose Fernandez ($59) – He costs a pretty penny, but given his track record at home (9-1, 1.63 ERA) and the mostly coin-flip options among starters on Thursday’s slate, I think he’s worth the investment (hosting St. Louis)

SP: Johnny Cueto ($51) – Cueto, hosting the Nats, has also excelled in home tilts, producing a 2.43 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in nine home starts this season

C: Salvador Perez ($10) – Not an ideal matchup as he’ll face Texas LHP Cole Hamels, but Perez will have the righty vs. lefty advantage and the All-Star comes at a very palatable price

1B: Mitch Moreland ($8) – When you spend $110 on starters, you have to mine the depths of some of the offensive position lists in hopes of finding plausible upside, which is what Moreland offers – he has had success (albeit in a small sample size) against KC RHP Yordano Ventura (2-for-5) and he has homered three times in his past 28 ABs

2B: Jurickson Profar ($7) – Another bargain-basement Ranger with more than a hope/prayer for Thursday, as he’s hitting .319 against righties – faces KC RHP Ventura

3B: Manny Machado ($14) – It’s a rare day that you’ll see me pass on Machado at this price – that he’s hitting .375 (3-for-8) in his career against Minnesota RHP Kyle Gibson is gravy

SS: Freddy Galvis ($10) – Offers a little pop (9 HRs) and a little speed (9 SBs), and all of those homers and steals have come against righties – he faces Atlanta RHP Matt Wisler

OF: Odubel Herrera ($17) – Offers even more pop and speed than his teammate Galvis, and also has enjoyed plenty of success against righties this season (.855 OPS) – faces Atlanta RHP Matt Wisler

OF: Adam Eaton ($14) – Has homered in two of his past four games, and owns a .886 OPS since the All-Star break – faces Cubs RHP John Lackey (2-for-4 in his career against him)

OF: Marcel Ozuna ($10) – Faces St. Louis RHP Michael Wacha, one of those backward split pitchers in that he fares better versus lefty hitters than righties, which obviously plays to Ozuna’s advantage
