There is nothing like Halloween to provide a quick temperature check on pop culture. Which scream queen reigned supreme in 2023? What deceased pop icon was resurrected ad infinitum? Just how many versions of Barbie, in homage to Greta Gerwig’s billion-dollar blockbuster, stepped out in style?
Celebrity costumes, too, are perhaps the most fun to pore over. With a team of professional makeup artists and hair stylists at their fingertips, the possibilities are endless. This Halloween New York, London and Los Angeles hosted a range of A-Lister gatherings and the ghoulish get-ups did not disappoint. Among the viral moments: Heidi Klum as a 12-person acrobatic peacock, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s “Kill Bill” couple’s costumes, Ariana Grande channeling the camp classic “Showgirls” and Paris Hilton paying homage to her ’00s bestie as “Toxic”-era Britney Spears.
Scroll down to see some of the best celebrity costumes from Halloween 2023.
Correction: A previous version of this story misstated the number of acrobats making up Heidi Klum’s costume.

A recent killing spree in the Mexican border city of Tijuana could have been lifted from a TV script: enraged drug lords hunting down corrupt police officers who stole a drug shipment. Two of the officers suspected of the theft have been killed, prosecutors say. It is the latest blow for Tijuana which has the most homicides of any city in Mexico, with about double the number of the place that comes second — the border city of Ciudad Juarez.
Former President Donald Trump spoke on Saturday night to some of his most staunch conservative supporters, filling a speech at the New York Young Republican Club's annual gala with praise for his political allies on the far right and doubling down on his controversial comment that he'd only be a "dictator" if reelected on "Day 1." Trump spotlighting the "Access Hollywood" tape -- an infamous episode late in his 2016 campaign that fueled widespread condemnation and calls for him end his campaign -- started out on Saturday as a seemingly off-the-cuff remark. In his speech, he mentioned "the biggest inescapable" situation he endured in politics and then shared more details, making it clear he was talking about the "Access Hollywood" video.
NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump said Sunday he has decided against testifying for a second time at his New York civil fraud trial, posting on social media that he “VERY SUCCESSFULLY & CONCLUSIVELY” testified last month and saw no need to appear again. Trump had been expected to return to the witness stand Monday as the last big defense witness in the trial in New York Attorney General Letitia James' lawsuit. The case threatens Trump’s real estate empire and cuts to the heart of his image as a succe
