Cruz Azul 0-0 Club Toluca: Heroic Talavera keeps first leg scoreless

The CONCACAF Champions League final will be decided at Estadio Nemesio Diez after the first leg between Cruz Azul and Toluca at Estadio Azul finished scoreless.

Cruz Azul had the offensive edge in the match. Marco Fabian - a lively performer throughout with seven shots - had a goal disallowed for offside and shot wide after darting past the Toluca defense in the first half.

Toluca goalkeeper Alfredo Talavera came up big for the visitors in second-half stoppage time, denying Fabian and Christian Jimenez with an impressive double save.

Cruz Azul backup Guillermo Allison did his best in place of suspended star Jesus Corona, denying a Juan Salgueiro-inspired Toluca attack to keep his own team's sheet clean.

The deciding CONCACAF Champions League final second leg will be played in Toluca on Apr. 23.
