Cowboys sign first-round CB Claiborne

The Cowboys signed No. 6 overall pick CB Morris Claiborne to a four-year, $16.26 million contract, NFL Network reported.

Cowboys rookies report to training camp on Wednesday.

Claiborne, out of LSU, missed offseason team activities with an injured wrist, but reportedly has been cleared for training camp. He is expected to be the team’s starting cornerback opposite free-agent signee Brandon Carr.

Last year’s No. 6 pick, Falcons WR Julio Jones, signed a four-year, $16.18 million contract.
