Sometimes it’s all in a name, and for recently drafted Dallas Cowboys defensive end Taco Charlton that is now certainly the case.

Highly sought after by several eateries around the country for potential marketing opportunities surrounding his name, Dallas-Fort Worth based chain Taco Bueno came out on top for the services of the former Michigan Wolverine and 28th overall selection in the 2017 draft.

“At the heart of any good partnership is authenticity and genuine respect,” Taco Bueno president and CEO Mike Roper said in a statement. “Taco is serious about football, and we are serious about Tex-Mex, and that is a winning combination. We couldn’t be more excited to bring some fun to all our fans this upcoming football season.”

The restaurant, which features 180 stores across seven states, even took to Twitter to welcome their newly minted representative.

The partnership is not only apropos based on Charlton’s first name, but also because of his own food preferences.

“In my short time here, I have discovered that Texas is THE PLACE for tacos,” Charlton told the Dallas Morning News. “Believe me, I’ve been trying them my whole life. ”

This was not the first partnership that Charlton was able to procure during his young NFL career. On Monday, soda company Big Red announced that they had also come to an agreement with the 6-foot-6, 275-pound rookie.

Let’s hope that Charlton’s promotional success in the offseason translates to a productive rookie campaign for the Cowboys.
