Retailers and restaurants across Covent Garden are joining forces for an auction in aid of homeless charity Only A Pavement Away.

The Gift for Good auction will run from the morning of November 26 until 9pm on Sunday November 29, with lots including a one-on-one cooking masterclass with Darjeeling Express’s Asma Khan, an at-home, three course Christmas meal from the Frog’s Adam Handling – delivered by the chef himself – and a year’s worth of free cocktails from Dirty Martini.

Other lots include meals at Din Tai Fung, The Ivy Market Grill, Balthazar, Sushisamba, Lima Floral, the Oysterman, Red Farm and many of the area’s other top restaurants. A number of places are donating vouchers as well, including Frenchie, MeatLiquor and the Lebanese Bakery. A night’s stay at the new NoMad London hotel, which opens in February of next year, is also listed.

Money raised from the Gift for Good auction will be used to help Only A Pavement Away and Crisis purchase and distribute more than 1,800 thermos flasks for rough sleepers across the capital.

Besides the hospitality lots, the area’s retailers will also be taking part, with Tiffany donating a personalised leather tote bag, in the brand’s signature blue – worth more than £1000 – and Paul Smith offering a signed book and a personal styling appointment.
