Yahoo Sports Coronation Street killer Stephen Reid strikes again

Coronation Street's Stephen Reid looks set to claim another victim next week as he hopes to get rid of his fiancée Elaine Jones.
The Weatherfield killer steps up his evil plans after Elaine refuses to fund his ambition to take over Underworld.
Upcoming episodes see Carla Barlow announce that she's selling her share of the factory.
Stephen hopes to become the successful buyer, suggesting to Elaine that they should remortgage their Redbank property so that he can become king of Underworld.

Early next week, Elaine makes it clear to Stephen that she has no intention of investing in the factory.
Elaine tells Stephen that they should concentrate on enjoying their retirement, but he's furious that she won't go along with his plans.
Later in the week, Elaine becomes confused as she's exhausted and jittery. She's unaware that Stephen has switched her blood pressure tablets with caffeine pills.
Stephen realises that he's running out of time when Carla threatens to sell the factory to businessman Owen unless he can come up with the money quickly.

Having recently taken out a life insurance policy for Elaine, sly Stephen secretly spikes her tea.
As Elaine complains that she doesn't feel well, Stephen pretends to be sympathetic and offers to get some food.
Once alone, Elaine gets dizzy and hits her head as she stumbles over.

Stephen is grimly satisfied when he returns and finds Elaine unconscious on the floor.
The villain quietly backs out of the flat, hoping that Elaine will soon be out of the picture and he can cash in the life insurance policy.
Will things work out as Stephen hopes, or will Elaine be rescued in time?
