Coronation Street airs surprise kiss for Daisy and Ryan

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street has aired a surprise kiss for Daisy and Ryan.

Emotions have been running high for both characters this week, as Daisy's stalker Justin has been put on trial for stalking and for the acid attack that has left Ryan potentially scarred for life.

The soap picked up on Friday (June 2) with Ryan entering the courtroom to take to the witness box, after previously backing out of facing his attacker.

Ryan bravely testified about his experiences on the day of the acid attack, where he ended up the unintended victim of Justin throwing acid at Daisy on her wedding day.

However, Justin's barrister continued his vicious takedown of Ryan and Daisy during cross-examination when he theorised that they cooked up the acid attack themselves because they are secretly in love.

The hearing seemed to take an even darker turn for the duo when Justin spun a completely delusional story in the witness box about how it was Daisy in love with him all along.

Justin claimed that Ryan was the one who tried to throw the acid at him, but ended up dousing himself in the dangerous chemical during a tussle.

After the hearing wrapped up, Ryan apologised to a tearful Daisy at the Rovers for his performance on the witness stand and also for pushing her away lately.

Ryan started to cry, leading Daisy to wipe away his tears. Passion took hold and they shared a passionate kiss until Ryan pulled away in shame.

Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan recently hinted that this kiss is only the beginning of Daisy and Ryan once again exploring their feelings for one another.

"It's going to be a really confusing time for Daisy," she told Metro. "She's brushed her own recovery under the rug and is really focusing on Ryan."

The actress went on to say: "She feels responsible for him so her feelings are going to get really messy and she's going to get confused it's going to get quite chaotic. Then the story may morph into a 'can you love two people at once?' storyline."

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
