Yahoo Sports Conor McGregor is Ready, but Floyd Mayweather is ‘Afraid of a Fight'
The chatter about a potential fight between retired world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather and UFC featherweight titleholder Conor McGregor just won't die.
Every time either man turns around, he's being asked about the other.
McGregor was once again questioned about a fight with Mayweather in a recent Facebook Live video chat, where he minced no words addressing the legendary boxer.
“Floyd is afraid of a fight. Floyd doesn’t want a fight. Floyd wants a boxing match,” said McGregor. “I’ve already said no problem. Get my (expletive) money. When you get my money then we can box in this boxing match, under this set of specific rules that will keep you alive.”
So where's the money? Well, it's a little more complicated than that.

McGregor is under contract with the UFC, which would have to sign off on any fight – boxing, mixed martial arts, or otherwise – if the two ever get serious. UFC president Dana White has said, “never say never,” but believes that the Mayweather vs. McGregor hype is mostly bluster. So, the UFC hasn't had to address it.
McGregor appears to believe the same as White, at least when it comes to Mayweather.
“I’m here. Where’s my money? Because if you keep dropping my name and you haven't got the money then I’m going to show up at your front door,” he continued.
“Floyd does not want to fight. Floyd wants a match under a specific set of rules. I don’t need rules. I am open. Let's see what happens. Right now it’s just talk.”
