Former UFC double-champion Conor McGregor may have only fought once in 2018 and lost, but it’s everything he’s doing outside of the Octagon that has him in Forbes’ Top 100 highest-paid celebrities of 2019.

The list, released Wednesday, charts celebrities ranging from athletes to musicians to actors based on their annual earnings. McGregor ranks No. 65 in this year’s list, ahead of Philadelphia Phillies’ slugger Bryce Harper, television host Steve Harvey and “Captain America” actor Chris Evans.

McGregor made $47 million in 2018

In 2018, McGregor netted $47 million between fighting and his outside ventures. Here’s how it all breaks down according to Forbes:

His fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov, which he lost via submission, netted a base of $3 million. McGregor earned over $25 million due to the record 2.4 million pay-per-view buys, which pushed his UFC 229 earnings well over $30 million.

McGregor renewed his sponsorship with Reebok which earns him roughly $5 million annually, per the report.

Finally, McGregor founded his own whiskey company, Proper No. Twelve, and has sold over 200,000 cases of liquor.

McGregor also has sponsorship deals with Beats Electronics, Burger King, Budweiser, Monster Energy and Anheuser-Busch InBev.

McGregor says, ‘I’m Captain America Now’

With news of McGregor’s ranking spreading, it was only fitting that McGregor himself would chime in.

With McGregor ranking several spots ahead of Chris Evans, McGregor elected to call declare himself “Captain America” on Twitter.

If McGregor hopes to stay ahead of Captain America, he’ll need to step back inside the Octagon soon. Earlier in June, he hinted that a return to fighting in 2019 will happen.
