College fantasy football's top performers from Week 7

Did your college fantasy football team survive a wild Week 7? Here are the top performers from the week. Befitting a crazy week like this, a lot of the top guys are widely available throughout Yahoo leagues.

QUARTERBACKS

Jordan Ta’amu, Ole Miss, 42.58 points
Tyler Huntley, Utah, 39.74
Nate Stanley, Iowa, 35.3
David Blough, Purdue, 31.78
Ryan Willis, Virginia Tech, 31.64

Ta’amu has been a mainstay at the top of the quarterback outputs week after week. Stanley threw for six touchdowns in a win over Indiana and Blough threw three scores and caught a touchdown. Both Big Ten QBs are owned in less than five percent of leagues, though Blough may be the only one worth picking up if you’re wanting to make a quarterback change.

RUNNING BACKS

Alex Barnes, Kansas State, 48.7
Josh Kelley, UCLA, 35.5
Devine Ozigbo, Nebraska, 33.2
Lamical Perine, Florida 29.4
Mohamed Ibrahim, Minnesota, 27.7

We told you to pick up and start Perine entering the week. He responded with 121 rushing yards and a score to go along with four catches for 93 yards. Barnes had a massive day with 34 carries for 181 yards and four touchdowns plus three catches for 51 yards. He’s owned in 75 percent of leagues. Every other back on this list is owned in less than five percent.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Flynn Nagel, Northwestern, 40
K.J. Hill, Ohio State, 35.2
Michael Pittman, Jr., USC, 30
Issac Zico, Purdue, 27.2
Felton Davis III, Michigan State, 26

Nagel had 12 catches for 220 yards and two scores. He’s owned in just a small percent of Yahoo leagues. Pittman had a big day in USC’s win over Colorado and he’s owned in just six percent of leagues. The only player on this list not widely available is Davis, who caught the game-winning touchdown in Michigan State’s upset of Penn State.

DEFENSE

UCLA, 22
Boston College, 18
Michigan, 16
Alabama, 16
Maryland, 15

Maryland played Rutgers and Boston College played Louisville. A good rule of thumb is to find whoever is playing those two teams the rest of the season and start them if possible. UCLA had a big day with five turnovers and a touchdown against Cal.
