Chrissy Teigen Shares New Pic of Baby—and Reveals Why She Skipped the Grammys Last Minute

The 2023 Grammy Awards were quite the star-studded event, with the likes of Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Lizzo and Adele all sitting in the audience and enjoying music's biggest night. However, it turns out that one person who was supposed to be in attendance ended up leaving her seat empty: Chrissy Teigen.

The 37-year-old TV personality explained her last minute absence in a new Instagram post, where she said, “Happy grammy day!! had a dress fitting, looked around and realized ….what the hell am I trying to prove here. I cannot get up lol.”

Along with the caption—which many mothers could probably relate to—Teigen also included a rare photo of her new daughter, Esti Maxine Stephens.

Teigen and her husband, John Legend, welcomed the newborn on January 13. The news was revealed that same day, when Legend spilled the exciting update to an unsuspecting concert audience. Baby Esti joins the pair's children, Luna, 6, and Miles, 4.

The Lip Sync Battle alum gave followers the first look at Esti only a few days later, with a post that showed Luna and Miles snuggled up with the infant.

“She’s here! Esti Maxine Stephens - the house is bustling and our family could not be happier,” Teigen wrote. “Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c section!? We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes - we feel it all! X.”

Esti arrived over two years after Teigen revealed that she had lost her son, Jack, 20 weeks into her pregnancy in 2020. “The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again,” she wrote.

Less than a month after welcoming your new baby, we don't blame you for skipping the Grammys, Chrissy.
