Chris Smalling resumes training, likely to miss Toulouse friendly

Chris Smalling was back at Daniele De Rossi’s orders following a brief absence.

The Englishman was recently ruled out for Roma’s friendly with Kosice.

The reason for his absence was due to muscle soreness as the veteran defender continues his long battle with injuries which played such a major part of his underwhelming past season.

According to Il Tempo, Smalling is now back in training but not yet up to full speed.

He is likely to miss tomorrow’s friendly with Toulouse as Daniele De Rossi prefers not to risk him any further.
