Orioles slugger Chris Davis may have become the most popular man in Baltimore on Saturday.

It no secret that Jose Bautista isn’t well-liked among the Orioles and their fans, and Davis made that evident at the team’s “FanFest”:

This isn’t particularly surprising coming from Davis as the Orioles and Jays have a growing rivalry which was capped off last season by Toronto’s victory in the Wild Card game.

Orioles general manager Dan Duquette called Bautista a villain in Baltimore earlier in the offseason, but back-tracked on those comments later saying they were blown out of proportion.

To make things interesting, there were also rumblings that Baltimore was interested in signing the outfielder before he re-upped in Toronto.

Bautista also has a much-publicized feuds with Orioles including – but not limited to – Adam Jones, Jason Garcia and Darren O’Day.

Safe to say that it’s likely best for both parties that the “Bautista to Baltimore” rumour never came to fruition.
