Chelsea transfer news: Eden Hazard responds to speculation he has agreed contract with Real Madrid

Eden Hazard has hit out at speculation he has agreed on a deal with Real Madrid, insisting there is “nothing in the reports.”

The Belgian has one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge and has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu.

With Zinedine Zidane back at the capital, the Frenchman is thought to be a big fan of Hazard, and reports have even suggested the pair have discussed a move this summer.

But when pushed on whether a lucrative five-year deal had been agreed, Hazard dismissed the report.

“There’s nothing in the reports,” said the Chelsea star.

“I’m only focused on tomorrow’s game against Cyprus. That’s all I’m thinking about.”

The Red Devils beat Russia 3-1 in their first Euro 2020 qualifier, with Hazard scoring two on his 100th cap for his country.

Hazard is also enjoying a fine season with the Blues, despite inconsistent results under Maurizio Sarri.

The 28-year-old has 16 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.

Chelsea are fighting for a top four place and battling to win the Europa League, which would also land a Champions League place, which could be crucial to their hopes of keeping Hazard.

Despite just 12 months remaining on his deal from this summer, the Blues will likely demand a big fee to relinquish their jewel.
