PITTSFORD, N.Y. - As excitement builds throughout upstate New York about hosting the upcoming 2013 PGA Championship, The PGA of America and Oak Hill Country Club are thrilled by the response that they have received from companies both regionally and nationally who are participating in the event. To date, sales have exceeded initial projections and as a result, an "expansion plan" is being released with additional hospitality packages being offered.

The PGA Championship is one of golf's four major championships and due to high demand and limited availability; it has become common practice for independent entertainment companies to market unofficial hospitality packages to the local corporate community. These packages often falsely imply an affiliation with The PGA of America and 2013 PGA Championship and do not provide access to hospitality on the grounds of the Championship.

The PGA of America is advising local companies to check the source before purchasing corporate hospitality packages for the event, to be held August 5 to 11, 2013 at Oak Hill Country Club. The PGA of America is the only source to offer official hospitality packages on-site during the championship at Oak Hill Country Club.

"Unauthorized hospitality packages reel people in at nearly every major event, sometimes providing customers an experience different than what they were sold," said Ryan Cannon, Director of the 2013 PGA Championship. "We strongly encourage those interested in purchasing hospitality for the 2013 PGA Championship to be aware of misleading packages."

As the only authorized sales force with official on-site 2013 PGA Championship hospitality packages, The PGA of America and Oak Hill Country Club have developed creative hospitality offerings at various price points for companies of all sizes. Packages are available to accommodate anywhere from 10-200 people per day and include locations both inside the clubhouse and on-course. Hospitality packages are all-inclusive, providing a premium on-site experience with parking, food and beverage along with other exclusive amenities. An added benefit for clients is the PGA's concierge service that can help with accommodations, ground transportation, and other entertainment options in the area.

"The 2013 PGA Championship will mark the only major championship to be held in the state of New York until 2018 so we feel it's important to stress that the only way to get the full experience on the grounds of Oak Hill Country Club is through official hospitality packages sold by The PGA of America," said Marty Glavin, General Chairman for The 2013 PGA Championship.
