Charley Hoffman aces 16th at Masters, doesn't break ankle

AUGUSTA, GA. — Charley Hoffman is well known for his prowess at the Masters … on Thursdays. Not so much on Sundays.

In typical fashion, he fired a 3-under 69 on Thursday, then fell down the leaderboard with back-to-back 73s.

He entered the final round 1-over for the tournament, well out of contention. He made a nice little run Sunday, sitting at three-under for the day when he walked to the par-3 16th and did this:

Gotta love the celebration. Should be noted that he was playing with Tony Finau, who likely offered a quick bit of advice: Don’t run backwards.
