Atlanta Hawks forward Chandler Parsons was in a car accident on Wednesday and has been diagnosed with a concussion and whiplash, Yahoo Sports senior NBA insider Chris Haynes reports.

Parsons has already been ruled out for the team’s road trip to San Antonio.

The injury likely won’t affect Parson’s playing time, as he had been a healthy scratch since Dec. 27. He has played only 54 minutes this season for the Hawks, scoring 14 points in five games.

The Hawks acquired Parsons in a trade last offseason that was more about the Memphis Grizzlies offloading his $25.1 million cap hit this season, the final year of a four-year max contract in the summer of 2016.
