Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s May 19 wedding drew a steady stream of high-profile guests, including Idris Elba, George and Amal Clooney, Serena Williams, Carey Mulligan, James Corden, and Tom Hardy. While not every guest has a social media presence, several stars couldn’t help but gush with the public about their experience.
Here are some of the memories — and wedding gossip — shared by those who attended on the special day.
The iconic talk show host revealed that she had a last-minute dress drama after she determined that her Stella McCartney outfit was the wrong color. Luckily, it all came together in the end.
Thank you @stellamccartney ! Realized Friday morning the beige dress I was planning to wear to Royal ceremony would photograph too “white” for a wedding. Her team did this overnite. Hat is vintage @philiptreacy been in my closet since 2005 with new feathers. OMG was this an extraordinary day! #Harry&Meghan #RoyalWedding #Lovedeveryminute

David and Victoria Beckham
Despite criticism that Victoria Beckham looked miserable as she arrived at St. George’s Chapel, the couple informally known as Posh and Becks posted messages sharing their excitement from the day.

Markle’s former co-stars — including Sarah Rafferty, Gabriel Macht and wife Jacinda Barrett, Patrick J. Adams and wife Troian Bellisario, Abigail Spencer, Rick Hoffman, and Gina Torres — were a united front at the wedding, which Rafferty called a “sublime and emotional event.” Their trip to the U.K. wasn’t entirely without incident, however. Hoffman complained that his grimace during the ceremony was due to his repulsion over a fellow guest’s bad breath, while Adams posted, then deleted, a photo of a sleeping woman who had remarked earlier that he looked “chunky” at the wedding.
Weddings are a joyous occasion. But today was just off the charts amazing. Congratulations Meghan and Harry. I am so grateful I got to witness your love today. There are many happy years to come. Also. Thank you so much @annabelleharron & @temperleylondon for making me feel so beautiful on such a momentous occasion. And last but definitely not least… thank you @halfadams for being your devastatingly handsome self and letting me come along for the ride.

Hard to believe that yesterday at this time we were preparing to head out to the Royal Wedding. I’m still speechless. Still processing. Santtu and I were honored to witness such a sublime and emotional event. We wish the happy couple every blessing with all our hearts.

The actress said she teared up during the ceremony, and called her friend Markle the “epitome of grace.”
Every once in a while there is a moment when time stands still.. that happened today.. You my friend.. were the epitome of grace, love and beauty. Every choice made at this wedding by you both will go down in history, not just because it was your wedding but because this incredible wedding stood for change and hope. Both things that the world needs desperately. Thank you for being the perfect picture of all things good.. seeing your union and love blessed in front of my eyes Made me so happy.. and tear up! I wish you both love happiness and togetherness always..
