Fashion designer France was in fact the winner of the Star Baker apron. Despite his sloppy eclairs he won the Technical with his symmetrical Battenberg cake and impressed the judges by making his own fondant icing for his Showstopper.

For their Showstopper the celebrities were asked to make a cake that represented their greatest fear.

Dommett confessed to being scared of heights and made a towering diving board of biscuits above a cake swimming pool topped with blue jelly.

As he carried his creation to the judge’s table his icing model of himself toppled into the pool.

Tennis professional Johanna Konta, 28, made a chocolate cake in the shape of her pet sausage dog who she said she would be terrified of losing.

Hollywood told her: “That’s a delicious cake. It doesn’t look good, but it tastes amazing.”
