CBC Sports home to IPC alpine world championships

CBC Sports will be the home to the 2015 IPC alpine skiing world championships when the event kicks off in Panorama, B.C., from March 4-10.

CBCSports.ca will have live streaming coverage that includes highlights and news clips available across various media platforms of Canadian para-alpine skiers and several other world-class athletes

"CBC is proud to partner with the IPC on another exciting event featuring Canadian elite high-performance athletes competing with the best in the world," said Jeffrey Orridge, executive director, CBC sports properties.

"We're making sure Canadians won't miss a minute of coverage no matter where they are or how they're watching, whether it be at home through their desktop computers or on the go via mobile platforms."

"Competing on home soil is a thrill unlike any other and now being able to showcase that to the fans who can't be here in person is even more thrilling," said three-time Paralympian Matt Hallat.

"It has been amazing to see how far our sport has come and CBC choosing to live stream the IPC World Championships is another great step in the right direction for our sport. I'm excited and ready to compete next week and I'm positive the Paralympic community around the world is excited to watch."
