Yahoo Sports Cardi B Looks Like Actual Art in an Electric Blue Gown at the 2023 Grammys
Cardi B is making a splash on the 2023 Grammys red carpet.
As one of the presenters at tonight's ceremony, the "WAP" rapper showed up to tonight's event in an abstract electric blue gown pulled from Aurav Gupta's spring summer 2023 haute couture runway.
The jaw-dropping confection included pleated structural details that ebbed and flowed from her shoulders, around her waist, and even to the top of her head. The unconventional dress additionally included a diagonal cutout across her torso, as well as an elegant sleek skirt and dramatic train.
Though she isn't up for an award this year, Cardi is among the A-list presenters who will be handing off the golden gramophones to tonight's winners. Other presenters include Olivia Rodrigo, Shania Twain, First Lady Jill Biden, James Corden, Viola Davis, Dwayne Johnson, and Billy Crystal.
The musician is known for her show-stopping red-carpet looks at the annual awards ceremony.
The last time she attended back in 2020, she wore a sheer Mugler evening gown. The glamorous piece featured floor-length long sleeves and glimmering stripes made of embellished crystals.
Her 2019 red-carpet look was another knockout, forever cementing her in the hall of fame for iconic Grammys outfits. She showed up dressed as a human pearl in an oyster shell gown, pulled from Mugler Couture's fall 1995 collection. The avant-garde look included a shimmering pearl-colored bodysuit and a black shell skirt with blush pink lining that opened up in dramatic pleats at her waistline. Accessories included multiple strands of pearls that adorned her neck and waist, plus matching pale pink opera gloves.
