Britain is a nation of chocoholics, there’s no doubt about it.
According to data shared by Mintel in 2018, the average Brit consumes 8.4 kilograms of chocolate per year, or 187 45g bars of chocolate.
But have you ever tried caramelised white chocolate?
While Cadbury has released its ‘caramilk’ flavour in New Zealand, it’s yet to reach British shores.
Luckily, a TikTok user has revealed a simple method for making your very own caramelised white chocolate using just a bar of white chocolate and an oven.
The user @italian_foodaholics captioned the video: “This is honestly a game changer, it makes white chocolate 100 times better.”
Caramelised white chocolate bar recipe
To make the caramelised white chocolate, all you’ll need is a 150g bar of white chocolate that is at least 29% cocoa.
Using a knife, roughly cut up the white chocolate into small chunks and place on a baking tray. Bake this at 120 degrees celsius for 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven. The chocolate would have started to melt and you’ll need to mix it and fold together so it forms a smooth paste.
Repeat this process (putting back into the oven for 15 minutes, folding together) three more times until the mixture is golden and smooth.
Pour it into a mould of your choice, let it set and enjoy.
