Calgary Flames Place Jakob Pelletier, Cole Schwindt And Devin Cooley On Waivers
The Calgary Flames have placed forwards Jakob Pelletier and Cole Schwindt and goaltender Devin Cooley on waivers, the Pelletier news was originally reported by Stephane Leroux of RDS.
All three players will likely report to the AHL's Calgary Wranglers if they clear waivers.
Pelletier was the 26th overall pick in the 2019 draft. He made the AHL All-Rookie Team in 2021-22 and has been a solid player in his time in the AHL, registering 48 goals and 111 points in 119 career games and 20 points in 28 Calder Cup playoff games.
The 23-year-old has appeared in 37 games for the Flames and recorded 10 points.
Schwint recorded 36 points in 66 AHL games last season and went pointless in four games with the Flames.
Cooley appeared in six games for the San Jose Sharks and 14 games for the AHL's Rochester Americans

With his skill and draft pedigree it would not be a surprise for another team to place a claim and take a chance on Pelletier.
