The “Barney” chirps are certainly nothing new for the Toronto Raptors. In the early days of the franchise, the Raptors were haunted by comparisons to the big, purple dinosaur.

More than two decades later, it appears that “Barney and Friends” can still rattle the Raptors.

The games ops crew at the Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center is the latest to roll out the troll job on Toronto. As the Raptors’ starting lineup was being announced ahead of Game 3 against the Bucks, Milwaukee fans shared a laugh as the “Barney” theme song was played in the arena.

The Raptors came out of the gate in Game 3 with a terrible effort, getting outscored 32-12 in the first quarter. Milwaukee safely nursed a near 30-point lead throughout the rest of the game, taking a 2-1 series lead on Tuesday night’s 104-77 win over Toronto.

The Barney troll likely had little affect on the game, but it’s salt in the wounds for a proud team that has gotten off to yet another slow start in the playoffs.
