Bubba Watson incredibly stripes a drive down the fairway despite his driver breaking mid-swing

Here's yet another example of how much better professional golfers are than the rest of the golfing population.

Bubba Watson's driver broke on impact of a tee shot he hit at the Travelers Championship on Friday. He still hit the ball over 260 yards and put it in the fairway.

Just look at this ridiculousness. The feeling of a clubhead coming off during a swing is a sickening one. And the two-time Masters champion still hit a better drive than a lot of people can dream of hitting.

Watson’s caddie Ted Scott scrambled to find the driver head after the shot and get the piece that attaches the club head to the shaft. And don't worry, Watson wasn't forced to go without a driver for the rest of the round.

Recent changes to USGA rules allow a player to fix or replace a broken club when “it is damaged during the round by an outside influence or natural forces or by someone other than the player or his or her caddie.” A driver breaking during a tee shot sure seems to fit the bill of “natural forces.”

Watson shot a 4-under 66 on Friday. It was his second round of 66 during the tournament and he entered the clubhouse early Friday afternoon as the leader.
