Bruins without Chara for a week: report

The Boston Bruins may have to try and fill a 6-foot-9 hole in their blue line.

The Boston Globe is reporting that Zdeno Chara may miss all three of his team's games this week because of a lower-body injury after the Bruins captain left during the second period of Saturday's game in Columbus against the Blue Jackets.

The report indicated that Bruins defenceman Steven Kampfer will be tapped to fill in for Chara in Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Kings.
