Bruins Need Jeremy Swayman To Bounce Back Immediately
The Boston Bruins hit a new low on Halloween, losing to the Carolina Hurricanes by an 8-2 final score. It was a terrible night in all aspects for the Bruins, as they were heavily outplayed by a very good Canes club.

Bruins star goalie Jeremy Swayman was among the Bruins who had a tough night, as he allowed six goals on 22 shots before being pulled in the second period. He notably allowed three goals in a span of 52 seconds during the first period. During the second period, he allowed his two final goals 41 seconds apart before being pulled.
Swayman's start to the season has been shaky. He has had under a .900 save percentage (SV%) in five out of his eight starts, including each of his last three. However, this latest performance against the Hurricanes was easily his roughest, along with the Bruins in general. The Bruins' poor play in front of him did not do much to help, either.
Swayman now has a 3-4-1 record, a .884 SV%, and a 3.57 goals-against average (GAA) this season. If the Bruins hope to turn things around, they will need the Anchorage, Alaska native to regain his elite form. There is a reason why he landed his massive eight-year, $66 million contract before the start of the campaign.
It will be fascinating to see how Swayman responds to his tough night against the Hurricanes and slow start to the season in general. He will be a big reason if the Bruins can get things back on track.
