You can be teammates in the pros, but a good college rivalry never dies.

Jeff Heuerman went to Ohio State. Jake Butt went to Michigan. Although the two are both tight ends with the Denver Broncos now, that doesn’t mean there won’t be some Buckeyes-Wolverines trash talk. And Heuerman got a good laugh when he combined that with some rookie hazing.

When Butt, a rookie with the Broncos, was at Michigan the Wolverines never beat Ohio State. And that’s how he got an “0-4” haircut from Heuerman.

You have to laugh at that. Well, unless you’re a Michigan fan. Michigan fans are usually too stuffy to laugh at anything anyway.

If you go into just about any NFL locker room, you’ll hear a lot of college football talk. Pro players love representing for their alma mater. You’ll find fun side wagers when one player’s college team plays his teammate’s college.

Maybe Butt can try to get Heuerman back with a good friendly wager on OSU-Michigan this season. But nothing is going to beat that haircut.
