It’s a big week for Brittany Mahomes and Patrick Mahomes.

Ahead of Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, where the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs will play the San Francisco 49ers for the NFL title, his wife has a new title as well: Sports Illustrated swimsuit rookie.

The magazine announced on Thursday that Brittany Mahomes will appear in its 60th anniversary swimsuit issue, calling her “the epitome of a modern-day powerhouse.”

The images of Brittany Mahomes—in which she’s clad in several swimsuits, including a tiny bikini and a strappy, sexy one-piece by Mugler, all in Chiefs red (naturally)—were shot on a beach in San Pedro Ambergris Caye, Belize, the magazine noted.

“Brittany Mahomes is your newest 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie! Owner of the Kansas City Current NWSL team, former pro athlete, wife, and mother, Brittany emerges as the epitome of a modern-day powerhouse,” says SI editor in chief MJ Day. “Founder of the world’s first ever dedicated stadium for women’s sports, Brittany’s journey has surpassed all expectations, inspiring others with her tenacity and unyielding determination. We are proud to welcome her to the SI Swimsuit family where she will undoubtedly continue to empower women worldwide.”

The mom of two said she felt “so humbled and still in disbelief” to be chosen for the iconic issue.

“As a girl from Tyler, Texas, who only really knew sports, never in a million years did I think I’d be in [the SI Swimsuit Issue]. I’m just so grateful for this opportunity,” she said.

And while it’s likely going to be a bit colder in Las Vegas in on Sunday, we are sure Mahomes will grace us with another iconic Chiefs-red ’fit at the game. Maybe she'll even match her new bestie, Taylor Swift?
