Bournemouth predictions 2024/25: Premier League finish, top goalscorer and season preview
Despite enduring a rough start to life under manager Andoni Iraola, Bournemouth supporters will have finished the 2023/24 season filled with hope.
The Cherries came a respectable 12th in the Premier League table and developed a clear identity as the season progressed, pushing teams high and playing with relentless energy. In Dominic Solanke, they had a sharpshooter capable of firing them to points.
However, their prolific centre-forward has traded the south coast for busy north London after making the £55m - potentially rising to £65m - move to Tottenham Hotspur. How Bournemouth cope without their talisman remains to be seen but they themselves have made some exciting additions ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Here's 90min's preview of Bournemouth's 2024/25 Premier League season.
Bournemouth's performance in the last five seasons
Bournemouth have spent only three of the last five seasons in the Premier League. After being relegated at the end of the 2019/20 season, the Cherries then endured two seasons in the Championship, culminating in a second-placed finish and return to the top flight.
Gary O'Neil helped guide the south coast side to an impressive 15th-placed finish in their first campaign back in the top tier but was unceremoniously sacked at the end of the season. The current Wolves manager was replaced by Iraola, who bettered his performance by helping the Cherries come 12th last term.
Bournemouth 2024/25 squad numbers
There hasn't been much movement in the way of squad numbers but summer recruit Dean Huijsen has taken the number two jersey following his arrival from Juventus.
The number nine shirt is also available now following Solanke's Spurs switch, while Lloyd Kelly has vacated the number five, too.

Bournemouth 2024/25 kits
Bournemouth have Umbro, their kit manufacturers since 2017, designing their shirts for the 2024/25 season. Thick red and black stripes and a chunky collar offer the Cherries a tidy look for the upcoming campaign, in spite of the questionable new bj88 sponsor.
The Cherries have gone bold for this season's away shirt with a vibrant number. A white shirt with teal and purple chevrons makes for an interesting change.
Inspired by Bournemouth's coastline, Iraola's men will be wearing a deep blue third kit in 2024/25. It's a classy look, that's for sure.

Bournemouth predicted top goalscorer
With Solanke having departed, Bournemouth desperately need to replace the 19 Premier League goals he produced last term. One man who could grab a fair chunk of the Cherries' strikes this season is summer recruit Enes Unal.
The striker spent the second half of last campaign on loan at Bournemouth and only produced two league goals, but did look promising towards the end of the campaign. Handed more opportunities in the first team, the Turkey international could rediscover his impressive Getafe form in England.
Elsewhere, the likes of Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo could produce good numbers this term, too.
Bournemouth predicted Premier League finish
Bournemouth showed clear ambition by following Scott Parker and O'Neil with the appointment of Iraola and, after a slow start, that selection was vindicated as some impressive performances powered the Cherries to a finish of 12th.
The club's owners will want to see more improvement but the absence of star striker Solanke will undoubtedly be a big blow for their prospects.
Iraola will be keen to kick on from last season but another campaign of mid-table consolidation would hardly be a bad thing. Bournemouth are an entertaining outfit with some exciting players and could be knocking on the door of a top-ten finish come the end of 2024/25.
