Boston College Line Power U.S. To Quarterfinal Win At World Juniors
The Boston College line had its best game of the 2025 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships on Thursday in the United States' 7-2 win over Switzerland in a quarterfinal matchup.
Ryan Leonard and James Hagens each scored twice, and Gabe Perreault dished out three assists in Ottawa.
Notre Dame's Danny Nelson, Denver's Zeev Buium, and Boston University's Brandon Svoboda also scored for the U.S. in the victory. Minnesota's Oliver Moore and Brodie Ziemer both recorded a pair of assists.
Michigan State defenseman Maxim Strbak recorded an assist in Slovakia's 5-3 quarterfinal loss to Finland on Thursday.
UMass netminder Michael Hrabal stopped 29 of 32 shots for Czechia in a 4-3 quarterfinal win over Canada.
