These are the times we live in.

After scoring the first goal of the Bundesliga’s return, Erling Haaland and his Borussia Dortmund teammates celebrated in the corner like normal. But six feet apart, like not normal.

Take a look for yourself:

The global coronavirus pandemic meant that stadiums were largely empty across Germany on Saturday, with only players, staff and stadium workers allowed onsite. Germany has been a standard bearer in its response to COVID-19, which has included practicing social distancing, defined by the CDC as 6 feet or more between you and the next closest person.

The 19-year-old Haaland was tearing up the Bundesliga before games stopped. He clearly has no intention of doing any different now that they’ve resumed.

With an eye on the bigger picture, of course.
