Bochum confirm new head coach
Crisis-hit Bundesliga side VfL Bochum have officially appointed a new head coach.
In a statement on Monday, the club confirmed that Dieter Hecking has been appointed until the end of the season.
Markus Feldhoff was in charge of the last two games on an interim basis following the sacking of Peter Zeidler.
Bochum were thrashed 5-0 by Bayern Munich and 7-2 by Eintracht Frankfurt in those two matches.
The club are bottom of the Bundesliga table with just one point from their opening nine games.
Hecking has plenty of experience, having coached the likes of Wolfsburg, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Hamburger SV in the past.
He has been without a job since leaving his post as Nürnberg's sporting CEO in May after nearly four years.
