Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is full go for the Sooners, at least for now.

Coach Bob Stoops expressed extreme disappointment in his redshirt senior signal caller Monday on the eve of Oklahoma’s first spring practice, but he said that any discipline for Mayfield in light of his Feb. 25 arrest will be meted out once the legal process is complete.

From the Tulsa World:

“Very disappointed that Baker put himself in that situation,” Stoops said. “As you know, it’s still ongoing so we won’t determine anything until it’s complete.”

Stoops added that Mayfield is embarrassed by the situation but will overcome it.

Mayfield was arrested last month in Fayetteville, Ark., on misdemeanor charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, fleeing and resisting arrest.

Mayfield was a Heisman finalist in 2016 after leading the Sooners to their second straight Big 12 title.
