Blue Jays' Kevin Pillar featured on Canadian cover of R.B.I. Baseball 2017
Kevin Pillar has a habit of making video game-like catches, so it’s only fitting he’ll be on the cover of one.
On Wednesday, Major League Baseball announced the Blue Jays centre fielder has been named as the cover player for the Canadian edition of R.B.I. Baseball 2017. A behind the scenes video shared by MLB shows Pillar, nicknamed “Superman,” decked out in Toronto’s Canada Day red jersey on the game over.
Extremely humbled to represent the @BlueJays and #Canada on the cover of RBI Baseball… dream come true #thankyou #blessed https://t.co/VtCyPUP9k0

R.B.I. Baseball, which is more arcade-styled based than its fellow licensed competitor, MLB The Show, will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS, and Android.
Dodgers shortstop and National Rookie of the Year Corey Seager was revealed as the cover star for the U.S. edition of the game.
Blue Jays’ pitcher Marcus Stroman was on the Canadian cover of R.B.I. Baseball 2016.
