Blue Jays' Bo Bichette sets another team record

By this point, it seems like every time Bo Bichette steps up to the plate, he has a chance at setting another Toronto Blue Jays’ record.

On Saturday during the club’s 6-4 win over the Houston Astros, the young middle infielder became the first Jays player ever to record 45 hits in his first 30 MLB games.

Bichette went 2-for-5 on Saturday, and it was on his second hit in which he once again etched his name into Toronto’s record books.

In a season where there hasn’t been a whole lot to cheer about for Jays fans, the second-generation ball player has given spectators some memorable moments.

It was just on Friday when Bichette became the third MLB player in the live-ball era’s history to hit 15 doubles in his first 30 games. Most impressively, he set a league record for the most extra-base knocks in a nine-game span to start a career earlier this month.

Not bad at all when you consider this is the start of what figures to be a lengthy career for the 21-year-old.
