Blake Lively’s Latest Hair Color Takes Its Cues From Her Dior Dress

Blake Lively took to the front row in today's Dior show, her bombshell mane run through with baby blonde that played off the bust of her dress.

The inspiration with which to achieve fall's most idyllic shade of bombshell blonde may be contained in the contents of your closet. To ready for the front row of today's Christian Dior Spring 2019 show—the kick-off to Paris Fashion Week—Blake Lively opted for a dress that featured a boudoir bodice, floral appliqué, and a selection of nude hues, each buffed tone played up within her mane of coordinated blonde.

Worn finger-raked and amply tousled, Lively's trademark ombré lengths were awash in a tawny blonde, which emerged from darkened roots to warm, aspirational effect. Spilling well past shoulders to commingle with the bust of her Dior gown—its sheer, similarly-hued fabric making for a pleasing bit of optics—the actress's hair was at once sea siren and red-carpet-ready, an artfully disheveled antidote to the sleek chops and high-slung updos that defined the summer months. But it was color, rather than texture, that resulted in second (and third) observances. Looking for the perfect shade to carry you into autumn? Make like Lively and take a cue from your favorite swath of fabric—and don the item strategically to enhance the dye job's eye-catching assets.
