Best in bromance: Moments that made the DeRozan, Lowry partnership

You can go through a list of duos, but you will be hard-pressed to find a partnership that had more chemistry than DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry. It’s nearly impossible, now, to remember what Raptors basketball was like without the two on the court.

Sadly, all good things come to an end. And with DeRozan being dealt to the Spurs on Wednesday, one of the greatest bromances in sport will now be tested by long distance.

Let us not take this time to dwell, but celebrate some of the best moments shared between the two former teammates, and the best of bros.

During this post-game interview in Kyle Lowry’s hometown of Philadelphia, it is clear that the two do not have enough nice things to say about each other.

Here’s DeRozan showing absolutely no respect for Lowry’s personal space while trying to conduct an interview. Fair between pals. Less so when not. Just ask LeBron James about Lance Stephenson.

Excited after a big win at home, DeMar was anxious to get Kyle away from his interview so the two could go celebrate the victory. If you look at the way the two look at each other at the four-five second mark, it screams of bromance.

Taking their relationship to new heights, DeRozan was spotted rocking a hoodie that featured both he and Lowry on it.

Everybody knows birthdays are a big part of a friendship. When it is your bro’s big day, you have to make sure you do something for him. With the two at team U.S.A training camp, Lowry sang a unique happy birthday song while slapping the four-time All-Star.

Instead of trying to pull him away from an interview this time, DeRozan wrapped a towel around the face of the former first-round pick. Keeping his cool and remaining professional, Lowry finished the interview.

The two sure know how to spice up a media scrum. During this episode of the Raptors’ backcourt bromance, DeRozan is trying to finish his response, but having a hard time doing so due to the ‘DEMAR, DEMAR’ screams in the background.

Reporters knew they could not keep Lowry from interrupting DeRozan and vice versa, so why not let the backcourt interview each other?

Just wait for it.

Oh and the hugs. All the hugs.
