Yahoo Sports Bellator 286 video: Richard Palencia’s gnarly leg break stops fight vs. Cee Jay Hamilton
Bellator 286 got off a gruesome start on Saturday when Richard Palencia broke his leg in the first fight of the fight.
After a kicking exchange in the second round of his bantamweight bout with Cee Jay Hamilton (16-9 MMA, 1-2 BMMA) at Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, Calif., Palencia (10-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) stepped back and saw his leg buckle.
Palencia immediately collapsed to the ground holding his leg in agony, and the bout was waved off just 12 seconds into the second stanza, giving Hamilton the TKO victory.

It was a shocking way for Palencia to suffer his first defeat, and he was stretched out of the cage by officials.
